Sheila Higgins grew up in New York where she received a BA degree from the State University of New York. Elected Program Director of Plattsburgh State Television, Sheila brought many advancements and partnerships to PSTV. After studying in London, England for a year she was hired as co- producer/editor for Criminal Justice Close-Up, a half-hour, weekly talk show series on New York’s Manhattan Cable.
After moving to Los Angeles Ms. Higgins joined Avton Entertainment, as the assistant to the director. This allowed her to learn many aspects of the movie industry as Avton Entertainment produced and distributed movies worldwide. From the movie industry, she moved into television production at E! Entertainment Television. For nearly 10 years, as a videographer and then producer, Ms. Higgins worked throughout North America on such shows as: TALK SOUP, BEHIND THE SCENES, EXTREME CLOSEUP, THE GOSSIP SHOW, FYE, CASEY’S TOP TEN, and E! TRUE HOLLYWOOD STORIES. As well as the OSCARS, EMMY’s, and the GOLDEN GLOBES.
Since leaving E! Entertainment she has worked as an editor for TRIBUNE / KTLA NEWS and SPECIAL PROJECTS where she won 1st Place from the Greater Los Angeles Press Club for “Female Goalie”, as well as nominated for an EMMY AWARD, and is a TELLY Award 1st Place Winner for The Rose Bowl; Behind the Scenes. Ms. Higgins work for KTLA NEWS includes the morning and evening broadcasts as well as becoming sports editor.
As Director/Co-Producer/Editor she again worked throughout North America for FIT-TV Network, for the HEALTHY LIVING series. As Director/Producer/Editor she created the documentary THE MAKING OF A PROFESSIONAL LEAGUE for BODY BY JAKE, ENT. / FOX Television, that went behind the scenes to follow the creation of a new professional sport league, Major League Lacrosse.
From entertainment, news, fitness, Ms. Higgins joined the startup efforts of SiTV Network, a Latino based channel geared towards a young, Latino, English-speaking demographic. At SiTV she worked on multiply projects including: Reality series URBAN JUNGLE where upper class kids must survive, and compete, in a house in the Barrio – PASSPORT follows the journey of Latin American kids visiting family for the first time in Mexico – BREAKFAST, LUNCH & DINNER, the half-hour series interrupts good meals for even better conversation, JAMMIN’ where bands compete while getting mentored by famous entertainers in the music industry – UNACCEPTABLE BEHAVIOR, the sketch comedy series.
As Producer and Editor Ms. Higgins has been working with ALL OUT FILMS/STANDOUT PRODUCTIONS since 2007 on various stand up comedy specials for the SHOWTIME NETWORK as well as MTV’s LOGO Network that included the ONE NIGHT STANDUP comedy series.

Ms. Higgins is grateful for all her experiences in film, television, and documentaries and is always looking for the next adventure.
